Most Mela lessons are one-on-one, giving you the opportunity to know your students, understand how they learn and develop them over time.
TAKE STUDENTS FROM CLASSROOM TO STAGE
Prepare your students for Mela's recitals, showcases and Annual Mega Concert and experience the satisfaction of watching them perform.
WORK TOWARDS RECOGNISED MILESTONES
Prepare students for Trinity, ABRSM, Rockschool, LCM and other recognised pathways, where applicable.
GROW AS AN EDUCATOR
Develop as an educator within a structured and supportive music education environment.
Teaching experience preferred, but not mandatory. Strong musicians who want to become excellent teachers are encouraged to apply.

But you do need to care about becoming a good one.
We value musical ability and teaching potential more than the number of years on your CV. You could be a good fit if you:

Can explain music patiently and clearly

Want to develop students rather than simply teach songs

Are willing to plan lessons and track student progress

Take punctuality and commitments seriously

Can commit to fixed weekly teaching slots

Can teach in person in Bengaluru
Formal qualifications through Trinity, ABRSM, Rockschool, LCM or equivalent are preferred where applicable. Strong musicians with limited teaching experience are welcome to apply.
WHAT WILL YOU TEACH?
You'll primarily work one-on-one with students aged 5+, from young beginners to teenagers and adults.
You'll help students:
LEARN
Build technique, theory and musicianship.
PRACTISE
Develop good practice habits and consistency.
PROGRESS
Work towards clear individual learning goals.
PERFORM
Prepare for recitals, concerts and stage performances.
ACHIEVE
Work towards recognised examinations where appropriate.
Your responsibilities include lesson planning, practice assignments, progress tracking and performance preparation.
